One has to be stupid to bring 3G's to villages where most didn't even bother to buy 2G internet. For ₹98 unlimited 2G was more than enough to bargain for in last decade. If there was a market and demand. Sure they would have expanded.

Who was used 2G internet for videos on big screen mobiles? Most of the villagers using BSNL 3G (except JIO) for You tube and Whatsapp videos including my parents.

ppl didn't bother bcz Of AVOID's vry high 3G charges... AVOID are responsible for ppl not going for 3G..Even 4G charges were so high When Airtel First Introduced in India.. where as those Ppl who didn't use or think about 3G are now happily using 4G in village just bcz of JIO
which providing them service In their Budget n Affordable rates....AVOID just wanted to Keep Indian ppl in dark ages.. That's it..

So people complaining about data prices and availability. Did you protest previous prices or made petition to bring services to rural areas? No, then why are you comparing now. Who doesn't want affordable services? Everybody does. Comparing 2010's market in 2019's market is wrong. There were no affordable 3g handsets at that time. Why would operators expand? One has to be blind to not see the monopoly one single operator is creating with help from certain bodies. You can suck up today but will suffer in long run when we run out of options.

We keep saying this. People will bring the same point again and again. There's no point in explaining the same points again and again bro. Nobody has got ears to listen and understand.

BSNL was always better coverage of 3G against private operators before Jio and even now.

Oh really. Airtel was first to launch 4G in India.

but what abt Airtel 4G charges..Was it affordable n cheap like jio ? thay just cared For Urban n high End customers..

BSNL was always better coverage of 3G against private operators before Jio and even now.

My point is not about coverage. It's about affordable 3g handsets before 2015. If 3g handsets had less market share. Why would they bring 3g to rural areas?

Whenever new tech arrives it's tested in urban areas only, US Telecom companies are not launching 5G throughout the country at once. They don't have huge funding like Jio have through Reliance or additional support for agencies.
