Especially Vodafone... because it is a foreign company and fdi would go down if they mistreat them. Vodafone holding knife to govt.
And they are living in different world if they are thinking that current regime will heed to their threats. Vodafone is responsible for loot first, denying the dues to govt.

I'd agree with you a year ago... haven't you heard about the state of economy? The fact that they already delayed agr by 2 years says they might not be as badass now as u put.

Vodafone Plc. will shut shop in a few years. They have used countires like US and India and exit. If any technology update and then they have exit each country.

Economy is bad, I agree but can we ask for waiver for income tax dues then why such big companies are asking for relief, govt can't do things which opens can of worms for other sectors. India is not only about telecom, there are many other sectors which are struggling too but they are not threatening like Vodafone.

Vodafone & Airtel never even provisioned money for spectrum usage fees till last month, that shows clearly a corrupt mindset these companies had, now court has asked to clear the dues.

Exactly, everytime when they have to invest more for technology upgrade, these buffons will decide to exit the market.

I hate to see such situation prevailing as this will cut to us to only 2 major service operator but if they want to shutdown, go ahead.

Then Close. If you don’t know how to run business with large spectrum, that’s is not Government fault.

Because BSNL is a Corporation, Govt. bailed them with a whooping Rs.70000cr. tax payers' money. Since Vodafone, Idea and Airtel are Pvt. companies, they will be left to their fate.

They have already approached the Court for waiver. What Govt can do for waivers, instructed by Court earlier? Slowdown in Economy cannot effect in Telecom, even Road cleaners were also purchased higher data packs now.

Yes bcoz BSNL is govt entity, Pvt companies were use to avoid investing in rural or no profit areas but bsnl always does. Govt had to take care of such entities. Same goes for railways and air india.
