Windows 10 seems to have a patch to tackle this ransomware.

I believe this ransomware has been produced by Microsoft only, so that the millions of systems that are running older versions of windows are updated to the lastest one, bringing in more revenue.

Now someone don't come up with a stupid argument that people will get pirated copies of windows 10, Microsoft has tones of computers in the corporate, IT etc etc industries which use genuine windows software.

One of the messages to combat this evil ransomware got in a whatsapp group:


Remove ramsomware virus following this steps
1. Remove internet cable
2. Change date and time ... set yesterday...
3. search file in computer .tasks he.exe
4. Cut this file and paste on recycle bin.
5. Shift delete all files in bin and clear history /temp file and browser too.
6. Shutdown computer and start with INTERNET
7. Change desktop password and all email address password.

It's not possible... just a fake whatsapp share 
1. no one can restore any file by changing date & time even if the file is not affected by virus
2. deleting any virus is not simple as shift delete that's why antivirus takes time to remove virus or send it to quarantine folder.
3. encrypted files are not easy to decrypt without password, key or backdoor (some encryption software create to gain emergency access to file)

And most ransomeware even delete Shadow volume Copies of the files. So it's impossible to recover without decryption key   :s
