Budget allocation related to S&T-
Department of Atomic Energy- In 2021-22 year- 18264 cr. This year - 22723 cr. That means some 4000 cr more
Department of Space(ISRO come here)- 13949 cr in 2021. 13700 cr this year. (n)(n)(n)(n)
Department of Science and Technology- 6067 CR IN 2021 VS 5917 CR THIS YEAR
Scientific and industrial research- 5224 cr in 21 vs 5636 this year.
Department of biotech- 3502 CR in 21 vs 2581 cr this year. That's a decrease of 1000 cr.
Ministry of earth science- 1897 CR IN 21 vs 2203 cr in 2022. (y) (y)
Total in 2021- 48903 cr
Total in 2022- 52760 cr
/ Not happy about Biotech allotment. Should have been more considering Corona crisis and other health problem that is looming over India. Same with ISRO. Many launches including mission to Sun, human space flight, Venus mission, Chandrayan-3, Space center are planned and there is a cut in budget.

bro they wants to collaborate with Indian private cos in space and other sectors they'll indirectly do support them that's why they reduced budget for isro and they even plan to set up base even in Gujrat beside in Bengaluru p.s im nt sure why they want to shift from bangalore to gujrat . beside that they even set up NSIL they are open for private person for space psu ceo and got proposal from 40 pvt cos relaeted to space infra - most of them seem to be start up hope they also create new infra and new tech not just end up depending on tech made by isro .

Private sector won't do basic research. Like they won't send rovers to MOON or Mars. They will only develop launch vehicle, satellite etc. ISRO fund needed to be increased for fundamental research. We spend money on many other useless stuff.

I agree with your points but may be due to election in upcoming states they reduced and to prove indirectly ISRO will able to do better with less budget in efficient manner and they did set up IN-SPACE , which would be regulator& governing space activities of NGPEs - non govt/pvt. entities . let's hope Indian pvt cos start doing basic space research.

Can we spend enough money on conservation to make this country livable than waste it on researches on stars and moon? We got rich and privileged countries like Ethiopia to do that for us. Currently, living in Guwahati feels like living in Manali. Summer will bring heat waves like it's on Thar Desert.

Private cos won't do basic space research. They won't get any return from it.

How much more cut do you want? It's only 1.5 billion usd per year. There are so many freebies government give. We should cut that. Not in S&T.

most of state govt and parties irrespective of ideology are only interested towards short term goals industrialization and if asked about conservation start telling there would be no jobs if no development but they forget there is sustainable development , only if environment is there people would live and able to have a livelihood. if no conservation all would be forced to pay for basic necessities water pollution - bottled waters instead of drinkable tap water without using filer . people in general don't take interest in environment or climate (including politicians/leaders) unless it affects them votes or threat

What I want is doesn't matter. If it was in my hands. I would just fund the projects made to maintain satellites for navigation, communication and broadcasting. Shutdown rest of the projects. I would leave every single program related to researches on meteroids or other planets for NASA to research and study. Use country's resources on better things at the month until we become a developed country.

may be they'll do PPP model for research in future onwards . latter we cant expect sadly it wont happen if it happens it could greatly help in reducing fiscal deficit of centre and state goverments.

there is a possibility there might be space wars - we need tech protect our country resources satellites & defend against our countries attack from space or from space debris / meteor. frankly even i want similar but due to our odd neighbor's we would be left defenseless if we don't research and focus on space sector. good thing is country is jointly doing space research with other country space org ex jaxxa & it help in reduce expenses and improve success rate .

I have a different thinking. I don't think Space Wars would be an actual thing. Here they gotta a space force. So we gotta have one too mindset is working. It's too much science fiction than an actual thing.

I think most of the job creation in India is happening accidently rather than through clear vision or program from govt.
