India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has reportedly asked Google and Apple to remove the Chinese video sharing application TikTok from their app stores. This development comes just a day after the Supreme Court had rejected TikTok’s plea to stay a Madras High Court order from April 3, to put a ban on the app’s downloads.

Govt is building DNS and it is in final stage of completion after that even if you install app it will not connect to app server, So don't think Govt is full with dumb people they will block sites at DNS level much like Great firewall of china

Apps aren't back on Play store/Apple store. No idea what's wrong.

They might have to update to implement the monitoring they promised, that might be the reason for delay.
