Plz don't compare mi box with airtel. It's a totally different concept. Mi box is android based with less or no limitations, airtel box is bound to be used as a device which will felicitate airtel dth channels using internet.

Technically its comparable as its also based on Android platform, and DTH channels are through satellite only (hybrid). But you are right that Airtel Internet TV is locked to DTH account. If DTH account expires then you cannot access the OS or the other streaming apps
