Number of free withdrawl is decided by RBI and not by individual banks. That's why 10 free withdrawl(8 for metro) is same for all banks in India. So there is no question of issuing such circular by SBI

In that 10 transactions 5 for financial , 5 for non financial :)

Whatever be the news, true or not, SBI doesn't deserves all this with their current services which are pathetic. First they should teach their babus to respect their customers. The way they handle customers is mind-boggling.
Min balance, txn charges all these things won't affect much if the services are upto the mark. But with current scenario, i am against SBI and am going to close my account soon. I am very much happy with ICICI and Bank of India.

SBI clarifies only ATM withdrawals from mobile wallet to be chargeable

Denying reports that all SBI ATM transactions will be charged from June 1, the largest public lender clarified on Thursday that the Rs 25 charge is only for withdrawals from its mobile wallet.

"The service charge on cash withdrawal from ATMs has not been changed for normal savings accounts," SBI MD (national banking) Rajnish Kumar told PTI.

"If a customer has money in SBI Buddy, our mobile wallet, he can now withdraw that money through ATMs. Also, now the customer can deposit cash or withdraw cash through business correspondent (BC) from or into our mobile wallet. These facilities were not available earlier," Kumar added.
