S21 Ultra supports eSIM but also having dual physical SIM slots. So can we use two physical SIM and one eSIM?

The Galaxy S20 series sales were a bit disappointing, and the COVID-19 pandemic added to Samsung’s woes last year. With the Galaxy S21, Samsung is expecting better sales this year. It is now being reported that the pre-orders for the company’s latest high-end phones are higher than the Galaxy S20.

According to a report coming out of South Korea, pre-orders of the Galaxy S21 series is around 15-20% higher than the Galaxy S20 series in South Korea.

Maximum 2 Sim at a time.

For Dual sim galaxy phone with eSim
A- Physical sim slot 1 + Physical sim slot 2
B- Physical sim slot 1/2 + any one e-sim plan (profile)

But you can switch between any physical or esim (profile) with easy turn on/off button in sim card manager, turning on esim blocks secondary sim (sim 2) if 2 physical sim inserted.

But still confusion on a phone number with esim on mobile + same number with esim on galaxy watch lte at same time.

Also not sure for not having any physical sim and use 2 esim plan/profile simultaneously in phone.

With e-sim support available, they should have gone for Hybrid Slot. We will get DualSim (one physical + e-sim) + microSD expansion then. What a missed opportunity for Samsung...

  • In the latest Speed Test G video, it’s a bout between the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Snapdragon vs Exynos processors.
  • As one would expect, the Snapdragon 888 handily beats the Exynos 2100 in the end.
  • However, the Exynos chip leads until the GPU tests begin, proving that AMD could be Samsung’s saving grace.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 series offers three great flagship phones, with the barrier of entry reduced to $800 while the top-end S21 Ultra in particular gets several major upgrades.

You’d think that the reduced price tag across the board would result in more sales, but The Elec reports that Samsung has set a rather conservative estimate for shipments in 2021. The Korean news outlet claims that Samsung estimates it will ship 26 million Galaxy S21 series devices this year.

For years now, Android has supported the useful ability to install system updates in the background, only requiring a quick reboot to apply the changes. With monthly updates becoming the norm, it’s a great quality-of-life improvement. Samsung has been holding off on the feature for years, though, and that’s not changing as the Galaxy S21 series still lacks support for seamless updates.

Sad part is Google backtracked on the requirement to have A/B enabled with Android 11.

New Android 11 devices may not support virtual A/B for Seamless Updates

Pressure from OEMs I guess. They should be stricter on these things.
When phones nowadays start with storage of 128GB, I find it ridiculous that Samsung still hasn't enabled A/B. A/B partitioning eats away only 3GB memory. 3GB in front of 128GB - Let's consider even 112GB after 'other' System storage - is paltry...

Heck, even Redmi's basic phone like Redmi 9 supports A/B, why can't S'hame'sung?
