Its a global phenomenon. Selling & Merging happened more in USA. Disney - Fox, WB - Discovery, Viacom - CBS..

yeah actually they are media giants know how merging and selling POV. here short term gainers like Reliance, adani have no goal, entering every sector partnership with medium to big companies, actual it's doesn't help anyone and even for Indian economy.

I tried to enter jiostar website mistakenly from my company laptop.
It says website blocked due to category conflict.
In category it says : video/entertainment

Then i tried opening disney star and viacom18 website, it is not blocked .

So jiostar.com is streaming platform and not company platform??

Looks like they are going to migrate from disneystar.com to jiostar.com and its not hotstar.com which will be migrated to this domain.
I checked few more subdomains and they are basically looking like star and viacom's internal portals.

I asked one employee, he said no mail has come regarding these portals ant they are not aware of it .
Also why would it be registered under video/entertainment if it was company portal ?

Guess - JioStar is nothing but content of JioCinema which will be available on hotstar under this name for current subscribers and to access the hotstar they need to spend lump sum amount and vice versa.
