Live tv app is going to be exact replica of current traditional dth/cable tv. Almost all the functions will going to be same.

User experience going to be improved for normal users. They will have a DTH-like experience (along with an identical UI).

Technically, it will be a step forward for Jio. For better understanding I am sharing some most common improvements that Live TV have, that is currently not present on Jiotv+.

Actual TV channels will be accessible, so one doesn't have to settle with OTT versions. This will be most beneficial for the sports genre.

Most probably piracy won't be possible on Live TV and channels will be encrypted. Unlike Jiotv+, that is accessible through some third party players using hacks.

Channels will be paid similar to DTH services. So Jio can generate more revenue.

Either jio will increase the data capped of airfiber or live tv watching data will not count from monthly data fup. Be assured jio already know if they will not take this step then what's the point of launching iptv service.

Very nice work by @AftabIN bhai.. these channels are mostly present on jio tv+… also i was expecting more movie channels like gold mine and other fta movie channels.. ulka iptv have many more channels then this..also no channels from Hathway?? They have many local channels for cinema,korean movies..
