IUC call charges same for all operators than why jio feel panic
Bcz JIO is FULL 4G only network.. where as Other operators have still only 20-30% their network as 4G...More then 60 to 70 % subscribers of Other networks are Stil large 2G subscribers...So one should understand here that Which operator will earn More money by keeping IUC..

Airtel, voda, idea already asking rs 35 after every 28 days to keep outgoing n incoming calls active
In simple words 28*3=84 days
35*3=rs105
And saying unlimited calls
On the other hand jio started different top ups one of them is rs100 for 84 days
So are they actually trolling each other or we the customer

it’s the poor 2G users who have to think about points of interconnect (PoIs) and IUC as they are the ones who are paying for voice calls. Oommen further said the incumbent operators have made voice calls free for 4G users paying upwards of `100 or `120 per month, while for those 2G users doing recharges of `40, `60, etc, the voice calls are charged at `1 or `1.5 per minute.
Reliance Jio has termed the move to review the interconnect regime as “retrograde”, which will work as an incentive programme to keep 400 million users to remain on 2G and not migrate to 4G..

Mobile tariffs unsustainable, need to go up: Airtel CEO Gopal Vittal
Jio is not running a charity, you can understand it by looking at their Broadband plans. I am not an expert but what I think is that they brought such 4G spectrum which was not used by any other operator and no one even thought of using it for voice calls, this would have reduced their initial cost.

They offered Free benefits at start to get attention and reach to huge number of people in very short time. Kept lower cost to make their place as Primary number. Lower cost is key to their success.

Low price and huge subscriber base helped them keep money flow while they improve their overall Network. Low cost also killed many of their competitors.

It is like a Beta program when they become perfect in network coverage and data speed they can start terming them as Premium Operator. If no competitor survived by that time then everyone have to pay whatever they charge us.
