Seeing the price it seems like 9 Pro Max is the successor of 8 Pro. Regular Note 9 will be the successor of Note 8. While Note 9 Pro is just something in between Note 9 & 9 Pro Max.

Yeah.. I agree with that too.
Also, though having a Centre Punch-Hole looks better because of the symmetry, but having the Punch-hole in the side makes more sense. When you are watching any content or playing games in landscape mode, it is less obstructing. It gets hidden under your hand anyways.
