Xiaomi has been teasing the Redmi K40 series for a while and now we finally have a launch date for the phones. According to the company’s Weibo post, the new Redmi lineup that includes a Snapdragon 888flagship will be revealed in China on February 25.
Like the Redmi K30 phones before it, the K40 series will also bear an affordable price tag. Redmi General Manager, Lu Weibing previously confirmed that the phones will start retailing at 2,999 yuan (~$465). That’s significantly lower than the Mi 11 which also comes bearing Qualcomm’s latest processor but costs €749 (~$901) in Europe. Of course, the low-end pricing for the K40 series could be for a non-flagship model.
