Bro are you running factory or something ₹18,251 electricity bill:ouch:
The same question came to my mind.
Batti Gul Meter Chalu?
Actually, we have a joint family, then the helpers and our shop's tailor workshop is also in our house. It's the minimum bill as winters are coming. Otherwise 22K-25K is normal during summers as AC, Cooler, Fans, etc, etc.

You should get separate connections asap. Otherwise, you may get penalty / liable to police case if you are using domestic connection to run a business.
Also, getting separate connections will help you minimise costs and proper cost allocation.

The rate slab is used, I guess, the more the consumption, the higher slab is charged, I guess.

That would be costlier at first considering he has to get new connections. He better calculate his tarrifs and load first and if viable go for new ones

We have migrated from single phase to three phase connection 7-8 years ago. And I don't think we are doing some kind of business purpose works it's all our own household electricity bill. Few stitching machine won't trouble us. That's all bill an joint family can have.
Our shop bill is nearly approx 2-5 K.
