Fastboot method?

No, Fastboot will work only if bootloader of the mobile is unlocked.

If it is locked, you have to flash the mobile in download mode.

Fastboot and Download Method both are approx same.

But for Fastboot, bootloader must be unlocked and it'll take approx 5-10 days to get permission.

Everything is running fine that's matter. Good to know that it is only a software bug, not a hardware failure.

BTW did you rooted the phone earlier? Rooted phone has a tendency to go in bootloop or stuck at bootlogo after miui update.

No, haven't rooted Redmi. But rooted Samsung Wave, 2 times with unofficial ROM and till now it's working ?
