May be wrongly added the option, which your phone's hardware isn't supporting?
I know it shouldn't support as the feature is only meant for amoled screens. My phone came with a IPS display. This phone itself is misleading on so many grounds. On website split screen feature is stated. But it's gone since the very first update I received. This is gonna be fate of most entry level Xiaomi phones. You can't even lock any app from refreshing as it takes you to app detail page on long freshing the app. God knows what's Poco/Xiaomi's developers are doing. Even the control center which is supposed to be transparent is greyed out because of some sort of hardware limitation.

My developer options were not enabled as I factory reseted my phone.

After updating I realised that useless app Mail is gone. Would be great Music app is gone too as streaming from Hungama is not available on the app. It basically useless.

Recieved April's security update for POCO C3.
