Base variant is priced well. Redmi 9 is better @ ₹9K as C3 lacks a fingerprint scanner.

It's always better to go with BASE variants of Chinese phones (especially with dedicated micro SD slot), imho. Chinese phones are very very very BAD (except 1+ after the backlash during 1+3 days) wrt RAM management, as they used to kill any background apps (incl lighter ones like custom dialer) for every 30 mins to 1 hour.

I used PocoF1 8GB+256GB version and followed all tutorials to remove optimization options in every individual apps, make changes in developer options, lock the important + light-weight apps incl SolidExplorer, Truphone Dialer, SMS Organizer & EverNote in multi-task menu. Even I never install / play heavy games. But I have never seen RAM usage more than 4GB and guess what, my EverNote & SolidExplorer always load from beginning every 2 hours.

Those unused 4GB RAM is a waste of money, imho. Now I am using Samsung Note10Lite 8+128 version and am very very happy now.

May be wrongly added the option, which your phone's hardware isn't supporting?
