I don't think so. .
Samsung S7 at this price is a steal deal. Although there is no comparison with S8 but even now S8 is priced at 63k, almost more than double the price of S7.
I would have loved to replace it with my A5-2016, if my device would be having any issues. It's been a year and am pretty much happy.

Little bit off topic: But My A5-2016 have increased the Ram consumption after 7.0 upgrade and battery back-up has also been reduced.

Same issues in S7. S8 is well optimised for Nougat and its updates. I see hardware upgrades also really much essential part in these major OS updates.
