Sure bro. :)

Thanks Ankit. Will do for sure :)

It cost be about 30k Inr. I was also considering IV 300. Yamaha seem to be more polished than that of sonys, generally. Also, it is a proper AVR based Home theatre and speakers can be upgraded unlike Sonys. The HT also has more hdmi ports, supposedly more watts than sonys. More importantly, it has burr brown DACs which will be far better than what sony might be using. Other Home theatres from sony, Samsung etc has only one hdmi port. Yamaha has more customisable options like equalisers. Yamahs's speakers are 6 ohm wheres sonys are 3 ohms except center and sub.

The advantages of iv300 over yamaha its 1840 are as follows.
1) Has built in dolby True HD and DTS HD master audio decoders. In my case, these can be decoded with a pc. So, not an issue.
2) Uses less current for working.
3) Can play video files from pen drive. Not many AVRs from yamaha, denon, pioneer or Marantz can do it. You can always play the files in tv or blue ray player.

Will post a review after using a few days. I have no Home Theatre for reference, btw.
Thanks for sharing detailed comparison.
I have one query here. Yamaha yht 1840 has no dolby True HD and DTS HD master audio decoders, then how will we be able to connect it to our dth stb?

It supports Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus, which is enough for DTH!

Got it, Dolby Digital and and Dolby Digital Plus is “lossy” version which involves data compression while Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD master, on the other hand, is lossless. Since no compression is involved, Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD master is intended to be identical to the studio master.

Feel free to ask. Will try my best to answer. :)
Dth today max goes to dolby digital plus. Now atmos, I guess. Even with True HD, arc will not work, as far as I know. So, this HT is more than enough unless you want 7.1 surrounds.

Lossy means mostly some high frequencies will be eliminated and the dynamic range will be compressed. Not just data compression. Dts HD MA and Dolby True HD is still compressed- data wise and sometimes dynamic range wise as well. They are otherwise called as lossless compression. The quality is little less than master quality, which is uncompressed PCM.

I am planning to buy a HT with dolby digital and my budget Rs 20.k which ht best

U can go for HT RT40, HT RT3, HT iv300 from Sony.
Also Yht-1840 from Yamaha ,it's alsmost 31k.
Also Jbl 2.1speaker at 21k
Sound bar can't create real 5.1 as channel shifting is not possible which is possible in separate speaker which is present in iv300 model.
