Congrats for your new phone. I'm also a huge Samsung fan. Currently stuck at Galaxy S7 Edge since a year.

I also wanted to go for a new Samsung phone but I don't like big screen phones and Samsung has stopped making 5" phones which was the best screen size.

Over years android has improved drastically. Now its par with iOS, secure and having strong infrastructure that no OS can beat. I like it that's why.
