How is the performance of S9 Plus presently? Is it still fluid in performance gaming and all? And some users have reported heating issues while playing games like PUBG,Fortnite so do you feel it?

Performance is still as it was during new days. It is fluid in normal use and during multitasking too. Can't say about gaming as i don't do it. No heating issues even after hours of video playback.

You can go for it safely. I can say, you won't be disappointed.

S9+ or Note 8, which is better?

Note 8 is a generation old. So you will get faster software update on S9+. S9+ is better imo.

I have similar opinion. Performance is great and as new till now. Only time I seen my phone heating is when I use mobile hotspot and download very large file using it, say more then 20 GB or so. Rest I never faced heating issue.
