Don't call it xiaomi note 3, bro. Its redmi note 3. Xiaomi has 2 note series, one is mi note series and other is redmi note series, so its confusing.
BTW its a gr8 phone, I've been using it for about 5 months now(my second xiaomi phone), and working gr8.
And guess what? Its Made in India!!
Now it is also upated to android 6.

No need for xiaomi. miui already has all nougat features except split screen, which they are working on right now. They'll soon give split screen update as ota. So except the version no, no real difference in features.
