OnePlus has announced that it has partnered with IDEA Cellular to set up offline experience zones for the OnePlus 3 in over 90 exclusive Idea stores of across 16 circles in India. Idea has also announced 4G ‘Smartphone Upgrade Mega’ offer for OnePlus 3 customers. Last year it had partnered with Airtel for a hands-on experience with the OnePlus 2.

It recently set up pop-up stores in several cities across India. OnePlus says that the new move is due to customers asking asking them to create more avenues to experience the OnePlus 3 at offline stores.

This will offer a hands-on experience of its latest flagship to a wider audience of the Indian market, believes OnePlus.

Under the 4G Smartphone Upgrade
Mega offer, OnePlus smartphone users who upgrade to OnePlus 3 and are on the Idea postpaid or prepaid network will get 10GB data for the price of 1GB. They can head to IDEA’s smartphone portal to activate the offer and simply recharge.

Both new and old Idea customers on the purchase of OnePlus 3, will get 12 months’s worth of double data. Customers who subscribe to an Idea connection can recharge from three exclusive denominations starting Rs. 252 and avail twice the benefit of regular customers for 12 months.

Commenting on the latest announcement, Vikas Agarwal, General Manager – India, OnePlus said: We gradually aim to bring our product experience to offline markets starting with experience zones at our own exclusive service centres and more than 100 partner stores in major cities. Our partnership with IDEA Cellular will offer our customers easy access to touch, feel and experience the OnePlus 3 before making a purchase decision.
