I think Netflix won't be successful. They need to enable Indian Payment methods(UPI) and local Debit Cards(Rupay).Netflix wants International Cards and Recurring Transactions. Not Everyone wants or use a International Card. They really need to change the Payment Model for Indian Customer and Understand the Customers like Amazon.
yeah.. they should add UPI & Rupay Payment Methods. Not everyone has International Cards. Giving UPI or Rupay will definitely bring more subscribers.
I had to get a Visa Card because these websites (Netflix, Apple Music, etc) won't accept my Rupay Card or UPI.

This offer is only for limited users. Totally Random. Doesn't matter if you are a new user or an active regular user. If you are lucky, you'll get it.
No official communication, I'm on 799 plan but don't see any such offer. I was using Airtel offer for last 6 month and first charge will occur next week. Let's see if they offer any such things. 1 year looks great with 50% discount. I have been sharing account with my family so it's good deal.

You can call Netflix customer care if you want to use the rupay card, they will enable it for you. I have recently given request and yet to see the changes but they assured that I will be given rupay payment option.

Too late for that.. 😅
Already got a Visa Card & blocked my Rupay Card.

yeah.. Sharing the account & Spliting the bill makes it really affordable. The thing is that none of my friends want to pay for it. They want everything free & download from illegal sites. That's why I took the Mobile Plan & pay for my own. Anyways, the 576p is more than enough for me.
Same here i don't support piracy. But my friends wants everything for free.
Netflix should reduce their 199 pack within 150. Every month Rs.200 data pack+Rs.199 Netflix+Rs.200 DTH recharge=Rs.600 is quite a lot for me as well as lot's of other youngsters like me.

Lol, and I hv blocked visa debit card to get rupay card.
Me also blocked HDFC Visa card and got a Rupay card. Annual Maintenance Charge Visa 500+GST & Rupay only 200.
Btw HDFC Rupay card works internationally as they have tie-up with Dinners Club,Discover Card network.

My Rupay Platinum Card had Zero Annual Fee
and my current Visa Classic Card has ₹150 Annual Fee (applicable from 2nd year)

If you want to be just, that is not paying for Netflix, Windows and DVDs. Don't do malpractices during exams, don't cheat on income tax and lot of similar things to do. Netflix made these shows for US and Europe. The made many times profit on their investment, India is just a bonus and those heavily paid IT " just " people are not doing any good to country, god or humanity by paying to these premium programs.
