Buddy atleast think before commenting, when IPTV services r transmitted then seperate frequencies r allotted for relay of SD and HD channels so sometimes due to improper settings applied on ur router or any other tech glitch one may receive good quality transmission on chs available on one frequency but not on another
If this would be the reason then how come all SD channels have got bad PQ & all HD channels have got good PQ and btw I have seen any such settings in my router yet I get good PQ on both HD & SD channels on Tata Play app & website
u somehow just want to blame airtel for each and everything they do
I Clearly stated in the above post that Airtel is giving good PQ in IPTV but u just blindly want to defend Airtel, I will never blindly support or hate any DTH/Telecom/Broadcaster unlike u

When I checked comparisons of Jio Fiber & Airtel Xstream/IPTV in our forum today, I found Airtel IPTV better in some aspects than Jio Fiber but u will never say Jio Fiber is better than Airtel Xstream even in 1 aspect

And as for Airtel's SD channels, its definitely nowhere close to Tata Play as I have checked on 2 Airtel SD boxes

And Airtel is useless as a sim also for me, the spot at which I get Jio 5G, Airtel is dead, now blame me for sitting at wrong spot and defend Airtel

SD channels in Airtel iptv & dth are poor quality (high compression), even TP deliver better quality for SD channels in DTH. I have Airtel iptv, still my eyes and brain goes to Youtube to watch news channels for good pq over high compressed iptv. ;)
My friend who had both Airtel DTH and Tata Sky used to say Tata had much better quality in SD channels. He didn't have HD channels in Airtel, so he didn't say anything about that.

Besides that, there have been people here who claimed even JioTV+'s SD channels have better quality than Airtel IPTV's SD channels.

Fun fact: We can install Jiotv+ from Play Store on Airtel IPTV box and play the available channels (except the premium ones like Star, Zee, Sony etc.).

The outcome is: Jiotv+ channels quality is better on Airtel IPTV box compared to Airtel's own IPTV SD channels. So it's clear that Airtel is compressing their SD channels too much as a result the picture quality looks poor.

It can be also that since Airtel DTH SD channels picture quality are already poor, on the top of that Airtel is compressing them for IPTV low bandwidth usage reasons, hence they look terrible on IPTV box.

I have JioFiber connection as well. I used JioFiber wifi to connect the Airtel IPTV box and then played Jiotv+ channels. It works perfectly fine.

Don't come to conclusion by calling it "not true" without knowing the whole scenario.

Chs received with Tata Play app or website is streamed via servers and received by customers via internet, it is not IPTV infact it is same like live tv chs available under MY DTH section on Airtel XStream App

Again plz stop making vague allegations

Will say when such a point is discussed

Airtel SD channels transmission quality on DTH is lot better than Tata Play , I stand by that

Well Jio has far wider reach in rural areas where Airtel still is somewhat behind but catching up but in other areas where Airtel is available their network quality is far better than Jio, Jio network is always congested and faces call drops and internet issues while in Airtel both these work lot better...

Unless the network providers deploy a dedicated CDN for IPTV (which should affect our regular bandwidth), there would be definite possibility of compression to maintain the internet speed.
For wired fiber we can see a good PQ since the speed is reliable and consistent to some extent, but in wireless it is essential to compress channels and reduce the bandwidth, so as it will affect our regular browsing.
Airfiber is failure model especially for IPTV.

Nice way to watch sd channels in your Airtel IPTV then 😁. But using Jiotv+ app other than Jio STB needs some extra work for changing the channel. So an Bluetooth remote app in mobile is needed for faster channel changing using numbers.

Airtel is highly compressed SD channels as per their DTH bandiwidth (2 to 3 mbps), There is no dedicated iptv stream in Airtel, so same feed available in iptv also.

Yes i also use jiotv+ on airtel iptv stb and it didn't ask me to use jio network for streaming live tv channels

But problem is only that sound quality is not up to mark i get stereo sound, very low and compressed sound than airtel iptv sd channel's other than that it plays news channels better than airtel iptv sd channel's PQ is far better on my 43 inch 4k tv. Just issue is sound quality I don't know why it sounds very low i used headphone jack (aux)
