@Rushil absolute correct I'm using JioFiber currently, and my ping is 5 ms, but when I browse, it feels slow. It takes around 3 seconds to open any site. In my theory, Jio has capped their latency so that everyone gets equal bandwidth
Do you have 5ms ping to Mumbai?

Also, websites using Cloudflare CDN free plan are being routed through international servers for Jio and Airtel users, since they don't want to peer with Cloudflare. So, ping can't be the reason because browsing experience is better on Airtel even while having high ping.

For example, here's my JioFiber pinging this site:

No bro,i live in Tier-2 city so when I do a speed test in Ookla, it shows my nearest location, and from that, I get 5ms. 😓I'm using Cloudflare DNS, so it practically lowers my latency compared to Jio DNS.
yes, i agree with your opinion that some websites are using Cloudflare CDN free plan but im talking about some famous site like YouTube, Twitter, Linkedin.... are they also using free plan?

But as I mentioned in my experience post, when I change my DNS, for the first 5 minutes, I get less latency. In Bufferbloat, I get a 'B', and in the Cloudflare speed test, I get around 10ms latency. But after 10 minutes, everything starts to feel slow. In Bufferbloat, I get a 'C', and in the Cloudflare speed test, I get around 40ms latency.

Heres the ping of this website

Code:
PS C:\Users\RAJ> ping onlytech.com

Nice ping. I am not sure why changing DNS helps you with bufferbloat. It should have no impact at all.

And I rarely face issues with popular websites. There are some rare times when I would see slowness in YouTube but it is usually fixed in a minute or so.

I mainly have issues with a few sites. For example, Telegram (randomly), this forum at times, another forum you're aware of, WhatIsMyIPAddress website, ping.nextdns.io etc.

I don't think it has anything to do with CDNs though, since I have my own site too, which is using Cloudflare and I never face issues with that.

Yes Zuke, I don't have a clear idea of what's causing the slowdown. As you mentioned, you also experience slowness occasionally, and it resolves automatically. I think it might depend on the nearest server, where everything is controlled on the backend. That could be the reason. Let's see how they resolve it in the future.

Very nicely written review @Zuke bro. I would add one more point that I experienced in my 6 months with them, which was too many restrictions. They have blocked lots of completely safe sites, and I had to occasionally switch to mobile data.

Airtel is great at my place. Yes, they have some downtime, but you can get validity extension or compensation by requesting.

Ah, yeah. Forgot about this. In my use case, it is only imgbb which is blocked and since I also have Jio SIM card, I can't access it even over there. 😂 So, I just gave up on that website. In the past, github's URLs were also blocked.

But Imgbb working for me on Jio 5G
