Btw there is a firmware update for jcow414

Got it yesterday

SRCMTF1_JCOW414_R2.58.2

The only problem I have with Jio is that if I reset the device and then it off and turn it on, then, we can't change the wifi settings in the myjio app. That menu goes missing.

I wish Jio improved the sync between myjio and the router

I've also received this message on WhatsApp. I've JCOW404 router and it's running R2.30.1 firmware.

Bro, that's an ancient firmware version. 😅 Did you followed the provided steps to see whether the router gets updated? 🤔 👀

nope. I don't think I'll update it manually. I like separate SSID for 2.4GHz and 5Ghz bands and the new firmware will likely combine them into a single SSID. I'll use this firmware as long as it works without any trouble.

Same here. But with JCOW407 model and R2.57 version. Actually it's wifi signals are very weak on both bands suddenly after a while. But no problem with wired connection. No idea what happened there.

It's already out of warranty and no idea to spend money regarding replacements. Played with settings for signal boost, but no use as expected.

Will reset it can improve the situation? Because I don't want to redo all of the settings especially the ones which was removed by jio a while ago and it's frustrating to enable again using browser console codes. Not sure it will reapply all of the removed settings from the saved configuration file as well.

If reset not working, can you or anyone suggest a good router for entry level budget? Just looking for strong signals and no fancy settings expected from it. If this is off-topic, redirect me to the right one.

I reset my JioFiber router. It is the same model as yours (JCOW414). However, it remained on R2.57 version.

Jio should provide an option on their app using which we can force upgrade their routers. Or is it too much to expect from Jio?
