Looks like good option to have this at places where we visit occasionally like guest house. Speed can be upgraded obly when we need to use it actively.

It can stay active with minimum cost and still support landline calls, things that dont high speed like live cc-cam and may be casual mobile browsing as well.

Jio also an ott operator they will get income from ipl stream as well as from jio fiber and mobile. While Airtel crying in the corner to charge ott players and increase the traiff

Its a postpaid plan or prepaid plan? Because for new connection they are charging for first 5 months. Jio already have one plan of 7 days validity which also can be use as secondary connections, backup connection when primary connection have no link or wire cut. If they really want to introduce a backup plan they should came up with only 1 or 2 day validity plan of various speed. In airtel prepaid we can create this type of 1 day validity plan already by unofficially method.

No its not for current customers. Jio backup plan is a postpaid plan and not for existing postpaid users. Prepaid users may be able to use this plan after upgrade to postpaid. It renew after every 5 months for 5 months
