In a couple of months you will start seeing third party ads in all Jio apps when it shifts to Freemium model like Hotstar and Sony Liv. They will give an option to subscribe to premium ad-free version or watch ad supported content for free.

So better not to update Jio apps until they force us and block older versions.

They will block older versions once the newer ad supported versions are out. Jio needs to monetise the content in one way or another, either revenue through ads or through subscription, because they also have to pay content producers like Eros Now and Alt Balaji for getting the content and the mobile tariffs are too low to allow them to give these apps free for long.
