That is a win-win for customers as well as the business owners bro. We can't see that as a bait. Jio has done exceptionally well in terms of service for a new telecom company. My primary number is Jio and several people advised me not to port my primary. Yet, I did it and have no regrets. There was only one mishap due to the postpaid plan issue which took time to get resolved. But other than that I'm very happy. No other telco can provide 4G network in the remotest areas as Jio does. We got to appreciate Ambani for it. And in the end, Business without profit is useless and I think we should not mind this strategy of Ambani as we are only at the beneficial end and not at the losing end!!
yeah.. its a business afterall, and they need to earn. I m not saying there's anything wrong in it.
But answer my one question, if they hadnt given free trials in d beginning... wud u have switched to jio ?
or even if u wud have, u wudnt have been too excited abt it... or proactive abt it, as u had been in d case of free period.
Why, thats bcoz that free period was a bait afterall... for luring customers to try their product in a short span of time.
People wud have tried it eventually, bcoz of its lower price... but may be 1 or 2 yrs wud have gone by to get a substancial customer base...
With Free trial period, they got d subscribers in 3 months, what they wud ve got in probably 2 yrs.... its a word-of-mouth thing..
if something is selling for free... its bound to grab more eyeballs
So, all I m saying is, its their business strategy... giving free trials at the start. Nothing wrong in it. But yes, its a bait only for luring customers, to flock to them in small time.
