Jio wont increase tariffs till it gets hold of additional spectrum in the auction and achieves 99% of coverage in all telecom circles and crosses subscriber base of 400 million. Only after the mass roll out of Jio fiber will they increase the wireless service tariffs so as to catalyse the uptake of wired broadband by the masses and to offload the data consumption from wireless to wired broadband. This will take another 3 to 4 quarters.
In the meanwhile they have stopped providing the Rs.50 cashback vouchers which are usable for recharges over 300 in MyJio app and the existing vouchers show an expiry of 19th October 2019, so if these vouchers expire there will be an indirect rise in tariffs, but the direct hike will take some time.
