When airtel can't even continue their mobile tv services unlike jio tv, how do we think that they will succeed in IPTV or provide low cost IPTV service's. Even if they launch IPTV it would be costlier and may not be free like jio. I don't have good opinion with Airtel.
Airtel and BSNL follows TRAI NTO rules for iptv, so they can absorb pay channels cost approx Rs.250/- to Rs.300/- in their monthly fiber plan of Rs.499/-+GST. But Jio should rely on Hathway for iptv, so I'm not expecting Jio can absorb iptv cost as they have already Jio tv+.
Ex: Airtel already gives Rs.350/- worth of free DTH money for its fiber/airfiber users for live tv now.

Airtel and absorb. They only absorbs money from users. 😂😂

Guys, Let's Not Make Much Fun On Airtel

Definitely They Are On Serious Note To Run The Business,

IPTV Is Definitely Going To Have Impact Because Of Pricing Policies But With 40mbps Plan It May Not Work Properly
100Mbps is must in rural India. I don't understand why such 10-40Mbps plans still exists. 300Mbps onwards in urban areas.

As per the BSNL IFTV policy it will be free for BSNL users. If they can charge as like cable tv or DTH it will be meaningless. No body will choose BSNL then.

In this way bsnl is different, it doesn't use internet for TV steaming. Channels will be passed like digital cable tv over fiber with minimum loss.

Big update. Airtel added dolby vision in star 4k channel in iptv. And so their iptv stb will support dolby vision.
Without 4K subscription of Hotstar, we can watch Star 4K channel with Dolby vision  in iptv,
