To prevent MI from being so dominant ‘this year, next year and every year’, what do you guys think should be the best option(s)?

I am extremely happy that Mumbai Indians has won and I hope they keep winning year after year. Thats the only way BCCI will realize they have a flawed system called "Retaining". Unless everyone realizes that having 1-2 potentially competition winning teams instead of 8 makes the competition boring and boring year after year, this will not change.

Before anyone gives various reasons for how "same teams should continue", the simplest solution is to have limited number of RTMs. Say 4. That way atleast the player will go for the right amount of money instead of Retaining where the team gets them for less amount of money.

Anyone wants to take a guess on which teams have used the option of retaining max 4 players, every single time in the history of IPL so far?
