But how can they do that because teams will claim they have planned only for a 3 year cycle as said upfront. CSK will definitely claim. Even if CSK doesn't claim, CSK fans will definitely claim because....going by this forum and twitter....the CSK fans want Dhoni out. The fans know exactly which players should be selected in auction (DK, Varun C, R Ashwin, etc - I hope the fans haven't confused IPL with TNPL), which players should be in the playing 11 and at which specific batting order positions.

Ganguly did speak about it informally. Franchises were also against a mega auction right after the season. Maybe CSK will change that stance after today, but none of the others will..

By the way, this is a re-match of the 1st IPL match of this year about a month ago. Unfortunately, nobody instructed Dhoni what to do after that match and how is process is useless.
