Even if CSK wants a replacement, not much options are there.
The only notable unsold players are Yususf Pathan, Hanuma Vihari, Pujara, Shahrukh (TN player), Rohan Kadam, Manoj Tiwary.
Dhoni is not likely to bring in players whom he don't know or watched.

Manoj Tiwari looks better having played under MS Dhoni while Playing for Rising Pune Super Giants.

Mujeeb will be and should back for sure, not sure about Gayle though. Even I want to see him in the playing 11 but I don't think that Kxip will break their very successful and consistent opening pair of KL and Mayank now.
Though One Advantage that gives to Chris Gayle for Playing in today's match is Rashid Khan. Gayle has got the better against Rashid khan and Rashid is big threat for the opponents, so to break that, he May play. But lets see.

Playing T20 after more than 1and half year ago for player like pujara if he is brought in by CSK would be tough

Pujara gets to play t20s only in Syed Mushtaq trophy, annually. He still scored a 100 last year.
