Why Pune? They should limit one state with one city. Mumbai is already there. This time new cities like Guwahati, Cuttack etc.. should get a chance.

All the financial power is in Western rather than Eastern India. Also Assam is more of a footballing state. Similarly with Kerala.

BCCI is not deciding base city, team owners decide that.

Getting filled stadiums is not an issue in Kerala for IPL.
Issue is to get a team owner preferring Kerala. Most likely they should come from outside Kerala, which is less probable.
Another problem could be availability of Kochi stadium which is currently dedicated for football.

Thiruvanathapuram Has Been A Long Time Favourite For Many. The Greenfield Stadium In Trivandrum Is Also Wonderfull.

Won't happen next season. The framework of auction had been already set for 3 seasons - '18,'19,'20. At best the change will come in '21

Another problem could be availability of Kochi stadium which is currently dedicated for football.

I think it will be dedicated only to football. Sachin Tendulkar raised an issue on the pitch being changed due to football. The new under construction stadium in Trivandrum should provide that exclusivity for Cricket

Just because of corrupt officials at BCCI, Kochi tuskers had to be let go off. It was very unfair
