He is effective on pitches where there is Uneven Bounce, In Flat batting pitches of Wankhede & Brabourne he will struggle to keep his economy low & take wkts.
Don't compare 1 or 2 bad ennings with his current form he is in best form of his career. As well he struggled due to flat surface he didn't get that much variation which he needed and if you didn't seen I think in last four overs even bumrah and bhuvneshwar given 14 and 16 runs respectively

CSK did played last year opening match with MI after being at 7th position in points table.
It should have been both Finalist CSK vs KKR opening match.
