I never believed in that Top 3 man. They let go off Padikkal, KS Bharat who were backed very well here and then started underperforming in their new teams thanks to these clowns called as haaRCB team management. And instead who they bought, some Anuj Rawat after looking at only 1 season stats (when Mike Hesson himself said he never believed in recency bias) and Faf. Kohli I had some hope that he'd play but after his underperformance across formats in 2022, that was also put under immense doubt (except for that first match)..
That entire strategy of having Faf, Anuj and VK at top 3 didn't sound great from the word go. Anuj ended up being like the Akshdeep Nath of that 2019 season. Waste of time..

They also bought Hasaranga for ~11cr.

Faf+Anuj+Hasaranga = 7+3.4+10.75 = 21.15cr
DDP+KS+Chahal = 7.75+2+6.5= 16.25cr.

If we had gone for DDP, KS and Yuzi we could have saved more money and Easily we could have gone for another fast bowler like Sakariya or Khaleel..

Add to that Siraj's underperformance. Something really happened to him, more so after Kohli lost captaincy across formats. He was never consistent since then.. I would definitely want to give him one more season because of all the good work he did in 2020 and 21.
