Most of the matches are one sided & more number of matches are could be the reason for rating downfall.

Thats not right. Only few matches were one sided .. Other wise most of the matches til now were quite interesting or exciting n we got to know results only after 19 or in 20th over.. This year IPL is actually vry balanced ipl .. there is no any weak or powerful team in This ipl. ..all the team are same n equal this time. No team is favourite n thats the best thing abt this year IPL..
so reason can not be one sided matches or more matches..
it may be Bcz So called BIG branded team of IPL Like CSK MI SRH are not doing well n have been totally flop this year til now and that's why IPL Tv Ratings are affected n going down.
n One more reason could be Hot Star also.. after Covid many ppl have started to watch Sports now online either on mobile or TV ..so online streaming of IPL is also could be one of the reasons for drops In TV viewership.

I used to watch ipl on Star sports til last year but now after getting Wifi at home now I watch all the matches on Disney+hotstar on TV .. n have not subscribed to any star sports channel..

Yeah I have listen to this interview with Ashwin, but it's not as horrendous as Chahal's story.. I guess more people will be opening in on situations like these...

Maybe, but personally I see the trend team batting second winning the matches, even it goes beyond 19th over. Last year ipl was happening in different grounds (Mumbai, chennai, Ahmedabad and Delhi). each ground, team had different strategies.. pks and rr matches were more entertaining.. also lockdown was in placed in many states.. big teams used to have 3 matches per week, but this time 2 matches per week. Players reshuffle can be another reason as well..

I guess they haven't released ott numbers till now.
