No way.
Then How were they showing last year?
Last year they had Gambir, Styen, Watson, Lara, Swaan, Styris on the feed with Regional commentary panel filling in the gaps... Now apart from Swaan none of them are available because of their IPL commitments... It's better to have nothing than an inferior version... Even last year's wasn't that great to be frank. Now, they don't have an option like earlier years to have Global panel on off-days on Dugout feed as both bubbles are different..

What about graphics? Everyone (atleast on twitter) are complaining about it since last two seasons. They made no effort to change it. They are confident that rights are going to Viacom. Hence, cutting down on everything.

In my opinion, the IPL graphics have hardly changed since 2014. There is the same common format: sharp cuts and flashy colours with a very blocky font. There has been no innovation for many years, unlike ICC events where the scorecard looks very professional and has a nice font too, instead of the squarish font that IPL always uses. The graphics from the 2011-13 period will always be the best IPL graphics for me.

Production rights had changed from IMG to Star. Star has the authority to change it. They should've taken effort to change it.

Chalta hai chalne do minset is why we don't have IPL in 4K yet.
