Cricket is set for a major lift in the United States as International Cricket Council (ICC) is all set to allot a major global event to the region. If the plans of the world body are any indication, then USA Cricket, the national cricket body in America, will be allotted an ICC event as early as 2024, kick-starting the next global cycle of the world events.

In June 2024, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will go somewhere it has never been before, with USA hosting the event alongside the West Indies, which staged the tournament in 2010.

Oh now I get the kneeling. We were looking forward to US expansion. Well good luck with TV rights from ICC's most watched territory which is Indian Subcontinent. Most viewers are not waking up to watch matches at 5:30 am. I don't know how live crowd will react if matches takes place at early morning in US on weekdays to fit with TV scheduling. Or broadcasters would've have to go insane like NBC does with Olympics to stop the leaking of results if they want to save the matches for airing it at Prime Time to get proper endorsements.

It's just one of the eight announced ones and four tournaments are literally taking AT PRIME TIME for Indian Subcontinent audiences.. So, no problem there at all... Star India's current cycle literally banked on recently concluded one and 2023 WC... Same can be said with respect to whomever is going to win the bid... The 2024 one will also be taking place in West Indies, and ICC will squeeze most of the Indian Matches in the Windies countries to make them available at Prime time for Indian audiences like CPL does every season...Broadcasters control everything as they are the biggest stakeholders...

What time CPL matches air? Do they take place in US too?

Recently concluded season aired at 7:30PM IST and 4:30AM IST... Why will they take place in USA?.. There are literally have like 6 Windes countries which have franchises they can host the tournament in... Giving USA as one of the hosts is majorly for gaining a spot in 2028 LA Games which both ICC and American Cricket are striving for now..

Edit : Adding to that, remember there was a Canadian league GT20 League which had many people including Yuvi in a rare exception participated in. Star Sports whom were the global broadcaster had broadcasted the league around 9-10pm in India, which will also work for the games in USA as most matches will be taking place at Texas and early mornings games are the way to go.

The two boards have also announced that West Indies will host approximately two-thirds (35) of the 55 games and remaining one-third (20) will be in the US. The Caribbean leg of the games will be staged in 13 grounds in the West Indies while the American games will be played in five ICC-approved venues. "All of the venues across both countries will be selected following a competitive tender process to be run over the coming months," the CWI and USA Cricket said.

USA Cricket's strategic partners American Cricket Enterprises (ACE) and the county of Santa Clara have agreed to enter into an exclusive negotiating agreement (ENA) to design, negotiate and seek approvals for a state-of-the-art cricket stadium project in the city of San Jose. The proposed 14-acre site to build the stadium project is located in the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, a 157 acre stretch of land in the heart of the bay area that showcases big-ticket events year-round.

The proposed venue will be situated on a prime piece of real estate in the Silicon Valley with the Apple and Google Headquarters only a 15 and 20-minute drive away respectively
