Today I have booked airtel airfiber.how to disconnect jio airfiber??what is the process??
It's easy. You can call customer care or place a callback request using the MyJio app. On the call, you can ask them to disconnect the connection.

Once the cancellation process has been initiated, you can track the cancellation on the MyJio app.

Even I have disconnected my Jio AirFiber this month. Though the data speed is good enough and OTT options are also good (except SUN NXT problem), I closed the connection for the fake promises and billing issues.

I got the connection on 26th Nov2023 with promise of extra one month FREE (apart from one year). But the billing showed that I may need to pay some amount due after 30th October. That means 2 months of usage is LOST for me. CC guys are giving explanations that "there was no such extra one month offer ever" and one year equals 360 days :wall: in Jio Maths. But still they can't explain about missing one month allowance. I think they have abruptly reduced the 12 Human months to 12 Lunar months or 336 days. So I thought enough is enough and killed the connection.

Asked CC for disconnection. Next day some person came and took away the WiFi6 Router, set-top box and its remote (but NOT the external Antenna, even though I insist him to do so). Next day that AirFiber account was removed in MyJio and got e-mail reg connection closed and no dues to pay. At last Jio showed some professionalism during disconnection.

The guy who came to take the device informed me that, there are about 3 disconnections due that day for him and most are due to fake promises.

I love jio airfibre consistent speed and reliability but I feel price is very high as compared to speed offered and features, mainly the stb is useless to me..it's full of ads- boot up ad, in channel ads, ott ads etc..its like ads ki dukaan

Planning to take Airtel next month ..let's see
Btw guys how many days it takes for disconnection? I need to plan accordingly

Bro, please. I feel you should stop this hopping from one ISP to another.

First do background checks and see reviews before opting for the connection. Pls don't waste your money and user experience.

Even I have disconnected my Jio Airfiber connection last month but they didn't take Jio STB, Router, Remote and external antenna. And in myjio app it shows connection is suspended

It looks like your connection is NOT disconnected totally. There is a chance that you may receive bills in coming months (if FREE usage period expired already).

Few observations from my side reg Jio AirFiber:-
  1. Jio doesn't allow Postpaid to Prepaid in AirFiber, as there is no such thing as Prepaid AirFiber (which I was happy to switch to if available as speed is NOT the problem)
  2. Do NOT take new AirFiber connection during second half of any month. Because Jio charges separately for Internet and OTT every month. In the first month Internet is charged pro-rata basis, BUT OTT is charged almost FULLY. (This I found out after carefully checking my AirFiber bills)
  3. Jio sales team will say anything to sell you AirFiber like free one month usage (available in real fiber, NOT AirFiber) as they get more commission for AirFiber than real Fiber connections.
  4. You many need to switch OFF and ON the router every day or two, else speed and ping gets deteriorated. (In TN it is not an issue, as we get daily few mins power-cut during non-election periods, only thing is I had to switch the power socket to the one NOT connected to Home UPS).
  5. If 5G speed in mobile is good in your area, you will get promised speeds in AirFiber as well, especially now - since UL 5G is just for the costlier plans only with min 2GB/day.
  6. Jio AirFiber is OK as secondary / backup connection, especially if you experience frequent fiber cable cuts in your area for the primary connection.
  7. Kindly avoid 100Mbps or more plans, as it will deplete the 1000GB limit faster. Plus you may not get 100Mbps in upload speed most of the time. Streaming 4k is good enough even in 30Mbps plan.
  8. OTT mostly had no issues, except more ads during starting (especially from OTTs not subscribed by your plan). But SunNXT has some issues after two months. It shows logged in, but never allow to watch anything.
  9. You may need to open the OTT apps at least once a month to stay logged in that OTT app. Still then SunNxt stopped working for me, but it is a very rare issue.
  10. BT remote that came with set-top box is good. Battery life is good, voice commands work good enough.
  11. When STB is getting installed, kindly check the USB port in it, using any thumb drives. Mine was NOT working, but I tested after a week, so can't complain then.
  12. WiFi 6 router they gave was good, especially the WiFi range. But don't forget to restart it every 2 days for better experience.
  13. No voice calls possible, even though they gave LandLine style phone number for the connection. But possible in the future.
  14. If Jio AirFiber is your only option for BroadBand in your area (not even any reliable local BB available), then you can go for it. It is much better than ADSL connections for sure. But do NOT forget the above points.
  15. If you want to use it as cable TV / DTH replacement, use it for a month or two and then decide yourself for disconnection (DTH/Cable TV). Even though many TV channels are available, watching them are NOT straight forward, especially for elder people in the house.
Hope this helps.
