Hey,

Is there a way to choose which band is used for wireless backhaul in the application?.

I'm thinking of getting a XE75 primarily because it has dedicated wireless backhaul to use as my primary access point and then connect it wirelessly to some less expensive Deco's like the M5's or M4's.

Earlier there used to be an option to choose between 2.4/5 Ghz vs 6 Ghz band for wireless backhaul. After recent firmware updates that option has been removed.

Ref: Deco Xe75 Pro no dedicated 6ghz backhaul option - Home Network Community

From elsewhere I found the following info:

If you have the 6 GHz network option tuned to the off position, that band will be used solely for wireless backhaul. If you have the option turned on, the 6 GHz band will be used for backhaul as well as shared with any 6 enabled devices using the SSID you give to that band.

I don't think it's on (official) sale anymore. From where you are getting it? 🤔

I found it here, Deco Xe75. Tp-Link will not provide official warranty though.

I don't think there is any other Mesh router with dedicated wireless backhaul in India other than this one. Maybe I can buy it and not update the firmware. I've been reading that 2.4GHZ band can penetrate walls and provide better range when compared to 6GHZ bands.
