They cant remove options after subscribing. That's not fair. Btw, mine is Hisense Android TV. Anyone having the same, and getting 5.1?

Did anyone try installing Hotstar addon on Kodi? Does it give 5.1 audio out?

I tried installing Hotstar on Kodi using botAllen repo. Audio option shows 6Ch. But video is very laggy. Not sure if I need to play around video settings in Kodi.

Does it work on Nvidia Shield? I have proper 7.1 ATMOS setup with Denon receiver and Ceiling speakers. Which movie should I try?

Can you check on yours. Try playing Multiverse of Madness as that was released recently in Hotstar. On the outside cover Hotstar no longer shows 5.1 or Atmos support logo. However, try playing the movie, and check under audio/language settings if you can find 5.1 audio.

There are few settings in Kodi-Hotstar. Fiddling with them if a headache. Few settings gives 4K playback, few only SDR, few gives Stereo while few gives 6Ch support.

A-holes these guys are. Earlier I saw a similar one saying Dolby won't be supported on Sony TV. Now Hisense. What next?

So removing Dolby support from Smart TVs and adding it to Mobiles? That's the strategy huh...
