It's expected as General election is coming and with no major changes in policies economy will rise to 7.6-7.8 before poll which NDA can then show to counter UPA

Factory growth hits fast track in January: Manufacturing surges 8.7% as economy shows signs of revival

Industrial production growth rose higher than expected to 7.5% in January from 7.1% in the previous month, data released by the government showed, on the back of strong manufacturing. The simultaneously released Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed a further decline in retail inflation to 4.44% in February from 5.1% in the previous month.

Tightening the noose around wilful defaulters, the government has asked banks to 'name and shame' such borrowers by publishing their photographs and other details in newspapers.

The finance ministry has written a letter to all state-run banks directing them to take board approvals for publication of photographs of such defaulters.
