It's not about politics always, It's about economy also, you need to spend thousand of crore to give salary, infra, defence, healthcare, social development and interest of loan taken from international organisation. Who will fund those if tax gets 1/3 on fuel ?

Right, but not everyone will have this good thinking like u. For some people each and every item has to be cheap, then only they will vote or else they will criticise the govt
 
GST Council meet LIVE: Tax rate cut for 29 goods, 53 services

Fitment committee recommendations on new rates for 29 goods and 53 services were accepted by the Council today. New rates on these will come into force from January 25, the Finance Minister said.

The issue of bringing petrol, diesel and other items exempted from GST did not appear before the GST Council today, but they will be taken up during the next meeting, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said in the press conference.
 
GST is expecting to be just great. With each council meeting some or the other good things are being done. I hope Fuel and real estate is brought under GST soon
 
Hi Guys, need clarification on this.

Say a person is giving his Shop on rent, does he has to collect GST on rent @ 18% ???
As as per some articles it says GST on rent is applicable only if the rental income exceeds Rs 20 Lakhs. Some other article says if the total value of the goods supplied and services provided by the landlord during the financial year and he doesnt have a GST registration
Whereas my rental income doesnt cross 20 lakhs... So what am i supposed to do ???
