Google in June had announced introducing Google Play prepaid vouchers in India, which is now expanded and available from retail outlets across the country. These Gift Cards are available in three variants: Rs 750, Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,500.

These gift cards will be available via retail stores such as Spice Hotspot, Vijay Sales, Planet M, Planet Mobile and Sangeetha Mobiles. In addition, the cards can also be purchased online on Snapdeal.com as COD (cash on delivery) shipments.

Indian consumers can now redeem the cards to buy apps, movies, books, and games off the Play Store, or can even use the money to buy in-app items. You can access the movies and books you’ve bought as usual on your Android phone, and even on Chromebooks, Windows PCs and Macs, through the Google Play web page.

To sweeten the pot, there’s also a bunch of deals for various apps and movies on the Play Store here, like Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia game for just Rs 10.
