i wonder every months thousands of subscriber from north east circle are doing porting process successfully?
does some segment still fear in your locality for MNP?
They do port out. But find the wait time inconvenient.

Porting process should be user friendly, sim card change should not require for porting , same sim should be used irrespective of operator and it's nature, whole process should be seamless

TRAI not interested to provide seamless or quality experience don’t except this kind of things 😂
If u want an example few years back airtel and VI started providing premium postpaid plans which provide better network compared prepaid subs. But TRAI stopped them , we are living in a country where a premium subscriber not allowed to enjoy premium service

In case of vi only not for jio or Airtel
I changed my Jio Prepaid number to Postpaid almost two years back and SIM is NOT changed at all. Heard a friend of mine changed from Jio Postpaid to Prepaid as well, without any issue. It happened within some half an hour only.

Airtel allows Pre to Post conversion without SIM change, but not the other way around, from what I have heard. Airtel also treats a new Postpaid to Prepaid customer as new customer, so that they can NOT port out for minimum 90 days. This is just Airtel being Airtel.

I wonder what is stopping them from allowing on the same sim. It should be a simple change from the back end since it's the same subscriber and they have all their KYC details also, it's just a switch in how they decide to pay for the service. For technologically advanced carriers like Jio and Airtel it shouldn't be so difficult to implement.
The same SIM will reduce e-waste.

Premium means 'Airtel Priority ' u r saying?

Vi also has option to Queue the plan?
For Airtel and Vi, it gets appended and the date will extend. You can do this only with same plan. If you recharge a different plan, that will get activated immediately. Even with same plan, you can extend the plan only upto certain number of days. Not beyond that.
