official report from la liga

LaLiga lands on Facebook in Indian Subcontinent

there will be pre-match and post-match coverage by Joe Morrison and also weekly shows , and highlights
hmmm pretty much like tv channel
not bad ahh (y)
It can never be like tv. Real football fans can never watch games online as the experience on 65 inch tv in HD quality is how football should be watched not through crappy streams on mobile or laptops. Even if you find a way to hook up to tv it can never come close to the REAL experience.

yeah i agreed
but if u wanna watch on tv you can either connect pc/laptop via hdmi or use Chromecast
and if you have atleast 400kbps downloads you can easily watch hd (720p) live streams without lag

Stream will always lag when that many people watch it and it will never b true 720p doesnt matter how much internet speed you have. Internet stop working for any reason and you cant watch a match. Tv's are there for a reason and live sports is meant to be watched on tv channels to enjoy it like it should be. Its worrying how these streaming sites are getting into sports now with their money. Sports should never be taken off from tv as they should sell tv and streaming rights separately.

True. Streaming and satellite tv is not comparable in general. Satellite TV experience should be equal for all. Streaming is effected by many factors and it's very much invidual based.

@ato_tho and @ @ibunasym bro
this is 2018 , not 2000s
facebook doesnt have one and only server, they are many . they are using redundant servers in multiple areas to server more locations. just like other services netflix , youtube, twitch , live count doesn't matter since there are enough servers to handle the network traffic
i can easily watch 150k live video on twitch in 1080p without any lag , nice and smooth , same on facebook and youtube
it all depends on your broadband downloads speeds bros

Yes true that fb, youtube streaming is really good. What matters is that how many are really getting good enough internet in the subcontinet, and the cost factor. Here in maldives there r no true unlimited pkgs. There are fua. Even the fastest pkg after fua, drops to 1mbps. So if we gonna stream, download and use net daily fua will exhaust half way thru the month and speed falls to snail speed. I guess this will be the scenario in most cases in the countries in the indian subcontinent. So streaming is not very practical as watching tv

yeah i understand bro
pretty much same here in sri lanka
we also have peak and off peak data quota in home broadband packages ,
luckily in prepaid we have time based packages here, its like you recharge 60rs and get 2 hours of internet with 4g speeds and unlimited data within 2hours

Bt think abt an average person,a common man,a student,a loyal football fan,an upcoming footballer who used to just switch on the channel to watch the game on Tv without having to care abt device battery, internet speed, data, connection and all that. These players inspire you and watching them on Tv playing with extraordinary abilities force you to think big. I remember the feeling of El Classico the first time i saw them(Messi&Cr7) on Tv. Football would never be the same, moments of brilliance in La Liga would never be cherished without Tv for me. Football is meant to be on the bigger screen.

So it will be a big shot for jio fiber if they can somehow intergrate the Facebook la liga stream page as a channel on their tv box.
