I agree :( Too harsh for football fans like us. What's the use 4k or full HD TV when mobile display is enough!

only option is chromecast if you want to mirror your mobile screen to tv
il have to watch on pc with internet time based packages in SL

We have to wait and watch.
If Facebook is not getting the excepted revenues after first few rounds, they may make a new offer at a reduced price.
SPN also maybe excepting a thing like that.

Guys @pramain @ayanc99 can u try to get a twitter update from sony? I don't use twitter. The thing is here in Maldives the cable TV provider Medianet has confirmed to us that La Liga will be brought LIVE through TEN2. They did confirm that today and previously they were saying it was not confirmed. Indian subcontinent rights are same and we see same feed as India. Can u guys pls confirm

Maldives is in part of facebook deal , facebook bought rights for indian subcontinent that included Maldives and other counties
there is no chance for SPN unless they buy sub-licences from facebook
so yeah SPN doesnt have la liga rights at the moment

Thts wht I am trying to say. Medianet is the only cable TV service provider here who carries all SPN channels. They have confirmed to lot viewers today that they will telecast La Liga on Sony Ten2.

its wrong bro , SPN officials have confirmed that they dont have rights
maybe Medianet they are not updated with latest news
its common with every cable/dth providers, they just say things or they ask customers to contact the channel for further info
i just checked timesofindia website and tatasky tv guide for match day 1 friday 11.45pm
theres no la liga mentioned there

Ok then let's wait and see. I hope for good news. For last couple of days Medianet has been saying thay are not confirmed yet and will update and today all of a sudden they replied on FB messenger that they will show. Yes nothing is on schedule yet. One thing, on SPN website under football there is still La Liga mentioned with all other football properties they have right now. Also chk this link guys

Liga announces landmark free-to-air deal with Facebook in India

They say "We have rights to work with broadcasters and we may bring in partners to make sure the experience is right. What’s clear about this is that 380 games will be available on Facebook, then we’ll keep our options open as to how we spread that content out so people can see it in as many ways as possible.” This is giving hints that it might be still on TV.

yeah have to wait and see
its good if tv channels get sub-licences (y)

Seems Facebook paid €90mn or $100mn for the 4 year deal which amounts to 25mn per year. In comparison the last deal was worth only $32mn. And if they show FTA then don’t know how they will recover the monies.

My sources indicated that Sony has taken the 2nd and 3rd pick matches for every week so roughly 76 matches will be aired on their channels. Let’s wait for official confirmation. But issue is how to watch matches on Facebook on iPad and iPhone especially if the matches are streamed through flash player. Then the only option would be to watch it on computer.
